Hi, I'm Gavin. I'm a 4-stripe brown belt training for my black belt under Master Shahram Moosavi at Phoenix JKD and a member of Master Julio Cesar Pereira's GFTeam. I provide private in-home BJJ instruction. I give your child focused, one-on-one training. No crowded classes. No long drives. No commitment. Flexible schedule.

Yes, your child will learn how to defend themselves, but that's a skill they hopefully never have to use. Other silent attributes they'll benefit from every day are confidence, discipline, focus, problem-solving and staying calm under pressure.

You Book A Trial
Fill out the intake form. Tell me about your child and what times work with your schedule. I will confirm same day and we'll get the first session on the calendar.
I Come To You
Your schedule, your home, your rules. I bring the mat and everything we need. No sideline time for you, no long drives for anyone.
Focused Instruction
One-on-one, undivided attention. Fundamentals from day one. Positions, escapes, control, submissions. Age-appropriate and structured. I track progress between visits.
Keep Growing
Book one session at a time or lock in a package. I stay available, keep your child motivated and adjust the curriculum as they grow. Cancel or reschedule any time.
A few notes.A gi is not required to start. Athletic shorts or sweatpants (no zippers or buttons) and a fitted t-shirt, long sleeve or rash guard work great. I bring two 5x10 mats, so I'll need a minimum of 12 feet by 8 feet of clear space. Garage, living room or backyard all work. Cancel or reschedule anytime with reasonable notice at no charge.
